Hello Beulah,
Winter is in full swing! As I write this article we are expecting several inches of snow
and near 0 temperatures. My hope and prayer is that what we experience is no where near the scale of last years ice
storm.
I would first like to thank our Heavenly Father for all who responded to the Smith
Family’s need due to their home burning down a few days before Christmas. Thanks to all who responded with food,
clothes, blankets, silverware, gifts for children, TV., and funds to help minister to this family in need. Pray for
this family in the days ahead that God will use this event in a mighty way for His glory and the benefit of their
souls!
We are also gearing up for the Pastor / Deacon conference at F.B.C. Troy. Break out
sessions include Stewardship, Using Deacons in New Members Training, Preventing Sexual Abuse in The Church and
Marriage - A First Line Of Defense. Please make your plans to attend. We will be enjoying a fellowship meal
together starting at 5:30 and sessions starting at 6:45 p.m.. Hope to see you there.
The Cluster Event Men’s Conference is scheduled for Jan. 29 -30. Speakers
include Eddie Mallonee, Dr. Michael Sams, Dr. Sing Oldham, John Wayne Fowler, and Ronnie Coleman. This conference
is designed to help men fulfill their God given roles and responsibilities, and encourage them to be men of
integrity. We are looking forward to a great time in the Lord and for lives to be touched! Men from Gibson and Dyer
association will be joining us.
We are also preparing to receive a team in early spring to minister to our
communities. We have two potential construction projects this team may minister through. Be in prayer for this team
from the Maury Association and Sunswept as they host them on behalf of the Mississippi River Ministry.
We are in preliminary planning stages for the Youth Venture this summer. Please keep
in your prayers Mark Hayes and our Youth Leaders and ministers as we seek God’s direction for our great youth we
have in our association. July the 4th through the 9th is tentative date, and around 100 dollars is cost. There will
be more info forth coming.
We have a team leaving this month to Antigua. Remember Thurman
Pennick, Bro. Jack Long, and well as members from New Home and McConnell as they travel there to minister to the
island.
It is never too early to pray for the U.T.M. Rodeo, and Bro. Scott and others, as we are
seeking ways to reach and minister to the participants and crowds during the rodeo events. All ideals and t
